Logistics and Operations Coordinator

Administration

Reporting to the Senior Director, Planning and Operations, the incumbent supervises the delivery and installation teams, meeting the company's quality and speed standards, while ensuring outstanding customer service to various internal and external clients. His main mandate is to prepare work schedules and plan the resources required in transportation, internal labor and personnel agency in order to deliver projects on time according to the established work schedules. He/she will also occasionally perform tasks for staff under his/her supervision. He/she will also be required to plan and be actively involved in the advancement of various improvement projects that affect his/her department. The ultimate and common goal is to provide an unparalleled customer experience in the event rental and consulting industry. KEY COMPONENTS OF THE ROLE:
  • Provide leadership to the logistics and operations teams;
  • Manage team leaders, installers and delivery personnel;
  • Coordination of truck transfers for maintenance and service;
  • Rigorous follow-up of the toolbox management policy, team leader follow-up boxes;
  • Set up the route schedule in collaboration with the management;
  • Ensure the coordination of the routes (manage the departures of the teams and optimization of the routes during the day and manage the unexpected);
  • Supervise employee delays/absences and replace absentees as needed;
  • Optimize the load/unload management system;
  • Participate in the development and oversee the continuous improvement plan for operations;
  • Occasionally assist with projects as a delivery team leader or project manager;
  • Any other related duties.
